Now, there’s a better option for publishing your manuscript.

  • Apollo made all the difference, they exceed my expectations. M O’ Neil
  • Before you shell out a lot of money or print hundreds of copies of your book, you should know about another option that’s available from Apollo Book Printing and Publishing. Apollo isn’t a publisher that prints books—we’re printers who help authors get published.

Before you shell out a lot of money or print hundreds of copies of your book, you should know about another option that’s available from Apollo Book Printing and Publishing. Apollo isn’t a publisher that prints books—we’re printers who help authors get published. It’s quick and easy, and our motivation is your success. The more successful you are, the more books we can print. Most of our authors spend less than $250.00 to publish their books with worldwide distribution, and authors are not locked into a platform like they are with Amazon’s CreateSpace.

Apollo Book Printing offers a new concept. We’re a book-printing service, and we publish as well. We understand that most authors don’t have the skills, the time, or the tools to turn their manuscripts into professional bookshelf-quality products. They have worked hard on their manuscripts, and they don’t want the final product to look like it was simply cut and pasted into a template. So it’s important to note that Apollo is, first and foremost, a printer. That’s our business, and that’s how we make money. But we have learned that many of our authors need only minimal assistance to make their books look amazing. That’s why Apollo Book Printing has added a publishing and distribution component to our printing business. The motivation behind this is to make it easier for authors to sell more books—that means we get to print more books.

You will find Apollo’s prebook prices to be some of the lowest in the industry, and you don’t have to buy hundreds of copies to get a reasonable price. You never have to take our word for it—we require only $50 down for you to get your first copy. If you don’t like it, you don’t have to order any more. But if you do order more, we’ll deduct that $50 from your first order. And we’ll send you a free sample of your printed book so you can see and feel the quality you’ll be getting.

There is a better way to get your book published. We can’t guarantee that you’ll be the next best-selling author, but we can promise you that you won’t have to spend a lot of money to find out.

HOUSTON SPEAKER DALLAS LOUIS SPEAKS ABOUT IMPACT OF DIVORCE ON CHILDREN

  • My position is about your behavior and choosing to be an adult.
  • Summary: Dallas Louis makes it her mission to educate people about the impact of divorce on children and families

Houston, TX – Having grown up in two homes after her parents divorced, Dallas Louis makes it her mission to educate people about the impact of divorce on children. Using the analogy of how broken crayons can still color, this Houston author, speaker and blogger, also mom and wife, helps children of divorce see the opportunity to live into their full adult potential.

During the Easter season, we often focus on beautiful colored eggs as a reminder of the new life that emerged from the tomb after the death of Christ. However, eggs can’t fulfill their purpose until they are cracked open. Whether their ultimate destination is to release a newborn chick or to become food, they don’t fulfill that function until they are cracked. Likewise, while we might enjoy the box full of new brightly colored crayons, crayons don’t fulfill their purpose of making art until they are used. In being used, they are often broken.

Using the analogy of broken crayons that still color, Louis shares her thoughts about helping children when their parents divorce. She talks about how children are often broken by divorce, but like broken crayons are sometimes melted together, children are sometimes merged into new combinations of families. The melted-together crayons offer new coloring option. So too the divorce and re-marriage of birth parents can form new combinations of families that can enrich a child’s life.

Divorce is one of life’s more painful experiences for everyone involved. In-laws struggle to know how or if to stay connected to former sons and daughters-in-law. Friends wonder if they should stay in touch with one or the other or neither of their divorced friends. But the real adjustment falls to the children who love both parents and have to shuffle back and forth between them. It is a time of many conflicting and complicated emotions and the situation really can’t be resolved easily. Louis knows this all to well, which is why she longs to engage others in conversations at retreats, church groups, spiritual gatherings or conferences.  “This is something I know. I can help them,” Louis said.

“In fact, both my husband and I are products of divorce.  Between the both of us, we have had NINE parental influences through the years.  That total includes each time a parent remarried and divorced.  That did not leave us in a love triangle, it left us in a tangled, shapeless mess.”

After she shared her perspective in a blog she discovered,  “The reader response was incredible to where they said ‘finally somebody is calling everybody out.’ My position is about your behavior and choosing to be an adult. My father used me deplorably against my mother. I don’t understand using children as pawns. It was all over the place when my parents divorced,” Louis said.

Relying on her faith, for both she and her husband, Jeff, is how they continue to grow as a family with their three children.

“God holds everything and is the center of all of it,” Louis said. “I’m fallen and sinful. My God is bigger than my sin and has my marriage in the palm of his hand. Your faith can get you through every day and even the worst days of your life.”

DIVORCING FAMILIES SUBJECT OF TALKS BY HOUSTON AUTHOR AND BLOGGER

  • “God holds everything and is the center of all of it,” Louis said
  • Summary: Dallas Louis Talks About Churches and Support for Divorced People In Broken Crayons Still Color Ministry

Houston, TX – Houston author, blogger, and family advocate, Dallas Louis, has a mission to enlighten parents and spouses about what happens when divorce becomes a permanent part of their child’s life. She would also like to see churches understand and embrace the opportunity they to be a source of comfort and consolation to all the members of a divorcing or divorced family.

When people are in emotional pain they often turn to churches for support. When that pain is caused by divorce, churches can do more to assist couples and their children. In addition to the pain caused by the conflicts that led to the divorce, faithful church members may also experience deep shame that they were unable to honor their marriage vows.

When a spouse is missing from family life due to divorce there are multiple long-term challenges to contend with year after year. Children are often thoroughly confused and conflicted about what they can and cannot say to a parent about the other one. For people who’ve been active in a faith community together another challenge is deciding who stays and who leaves the church.

Often the response of the church community adds pain to an already excruciatingly painful situation. Though divorce is unfortunately common in the current century, some churches still cut divorced individuals off from the community. This is a double loss – as the individuals lose an important part of their emotional support system and the church loses the time and efforts of a loyal member.

Louis believes the church can be a haven for people who struggling to put their lives back together. First and most significantly, the church is the source of the good news that no matter how difficult life may be today, God has not forgotten or abandoned either one of them.  Additionally, the church community is an ideal place to be accepted just as one is, whether sad, depressed, angry, resigned, or any other emotion.

Many churches offer some version of a Divorce Care program, which is a tremendous gift to newly divorced people. Such programs provide a confidentially safe place where participants can fully express the wide range of emotions typically experienced after a divorce. Additionally, such a program introduces participants to others who really can understand what they’re experiencing.

Churches who make the effort to support divorcing members not only prove faithful to their mandate to heal the broken hearted, they also lay a foundation for future leaders who can become part of a team of members who reach out to future people whose lives are in shambles because of a divorce.

“God holds everything and is the center of all of it,” Louis said. “I’m fallen and sinful. My God is bigger than my sin and has my marriage in the palm of His hand. Your faith can get you through every day and even the worst days of your life.” Churches that teach this with actions as well as words can be a tremendous source of hope and healing for their divorcing members and families.

Louis launched her speaking ministry in January 2017 – “Broken Crayons Still Color.” She plans to dedicate her ministry to speaking to churches, retreats, women’s conferences and organizations to bring this message of hope. Louis and her husband, Jeff, both come from divorced families. They are committed to “still color” as they show love and family to their three teenagers.
